A machine of silver lies, trimmed in plastic and shame.
It repeats the curses whispered to you in locker rooms, magazines, bathroom stalls.
It remembers every insult better than you do.
It doesn’t show your power.
It shows your conditioning.|
Your containment.
Your compliance cost.

They want you at war with your reflection,
so you’re too distracted to question anything else.

The less you love yourself,
the more you buy.

That’s the oldest spell in the book;
make you believe your magic is a mistake
so you’ll pay to be someone else.
And every billboard is a sigil designed to distract you from your own.

But listen:
You are not broken.
You are not unfinished.
You are not wrong for looking like someone who survived.

Stretch marks? Sigils of growth.
Under-eye circles? Moon phases on your face.
Scars? You bled and didn’t vanish. That’s not shame; it’s a relic.

So smash the mirror if you need to.
Or leave it hanging; just stop asking it who you are.

The mirror lies.
But you were made for stormlight and chaos.
You glow in the dark because you were born from it.
